Indesign for Translators
Chris Phillips launches his book Indesign for Translators - a step by step guide to preparing Indesign files for translation. The e-book has already received a lot of attention in the industry. Indesign is one of the most ordered translation formats yet a lot of translators and translation agencies waste hours during the translation process by not preparing the Indesign files properly before translation. Chris had created an easy to follow guide to overcome this.

Two new in-house translators/quality controllers
We welcome two new translators Marte Mensa and Maria Lindén Hjelte.
Marte will carry out quality control and some translations into Norwegian. Maria will be doing the same into Swedish.

1500 companies now use Tranflex
The New Year is looking positive for Tranflex. After 9 years of providing quality translations to companies in Sweden and abroad, Tranflex received its 1500th customer in January. We would like to thank all our customers for the continued faith in our services.

We welcome Andrea Augustsson - additional translator and quality controller.
We would like to welcome our new in-house translator Andrea Augustsson who has a Masters in English from the Master Programme in Translations from Uppsala University. Andrea has previously worked as a translator at Nielsen & Company and Star Translitera. Andrea translates from English to Swedish and carries out quality checks on other translations.

IWES – New search tool for Idiom Workbench.
To the benefit of translators around the world working on Idiom Workbench projects, our engineer Chris Phillips has created a tool that allows translators to check their previous translations carried out in Idiom Workbench if they do not have access to Online Concordance. The tool is being offered free of charge. Contact Chris Phillips for further details.

Tranflex – First in Sweden to be SDL Trados Certified.
Tranflex is proud to announce that, through Chris Phillips, we have become the first Swedish translation agency to become SDL Trados Certified. The certification demonstrates advanced knowledge of the translation memory tool SDL Trados, which means that we can affectively carry out and provide support for Trados projects.




June 2008 - New web site / Member of SFÖ

Tranflex launches its new web site.

We have also become Corporate Members of the Swedish Association of Professional Translators.

In October 2008, we will be moving our Stockholm office into new and larger premises in Hammarby Sjöstad.
